Rich Paul confident Lakers’ LeBron James can play five more years

Rich Paul expressed confidence towards the idea of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James continuing his NBA career well into his 40s.

James is 23 years into his remarkable career, one that will undoubtedly send him to the Hall of Fame. He will go down as one of the greatest players to ever play the game of basketball. The question is when he will declare that his time as a player comes to an end.

Paul talked about James’ place in the NBA at age 41 during an April 23 episode of the Game Over podcast. He declared that James can play five more years in the NBA, believing in the veteran star’s longevity in the league.

“LeBron can play five more years. He could play at least 28 years in the NBA. Now, I personally think, and don’t kill me Savannah, that he should play 25 years. Because he’s definitely got two more years in him. And I’m not so sure that the people, fans, we should be sitting here trying to push him out of the league. I don’t know about that. You got to be very, very careful with that because when we get these opportunities, I don’t see anybody pushing Bruce Springsteen off the stage,” Paul said at the 17:59 mark.

What lies ahead for LeBron James, Lakers

Rich Paul has complete confidence in his client LeBron James continuing to play at a high level in the NBA. However, it will take James himself to keep going in what stands tall as the longest career in history.

James excelled in his 23rd campaign, averaging 20.9 points, 7.2 assists and 6.1 rebounds per game throughout 60 games. In the first two games of the playoffs so far, he is producing 23.5 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds per contest.

The Lakers will look to take a 3-0 series lead when they face the Rockets on the road. The game will take place on April 24 at 8 p.m. ET.
