Red Sox’s Trevor Story reveals plan to ‘dominate’ at Fenway Park

The Boston Red Sox just wrapped up a six-game road trip after defeating the Minnesota Twins 9-5 on Wednesday. With the club heading back home for its next series, shortstop Trevor Story reveals his plan to play extremely well at Fenway Park.

During his postgame interview, Story seemed happy with the Red Sox going 3-3 in their last six games to stay within reach of the AL East. However, when the club gets the chance to play in front of its home crowd, he wants to use the park and the fanbase as an advantage to help stack wins in the coming days.

“Yeah, you said it. Play .500 on the road and get back to Fenway. Enjoy the off day tomorrow and dominate at home where we have a big advantage,” said Story. “Solid trip. Something to build on.”

The Red Sox will be playing at home for the next two series. They’ll first take on the Detroit Tigers in a four-game series, then follow that up with a three-game series against the New York Yankees. Seven consecutive home games certainly give Trevor Story and his teammates a chance to right the ship for what’s been a cold start to the 2026 campaign.

Story, who is 33 years old, is playing his 11th season in MLB, and his fifth with the Red Sox. So far this year hasn’t been all that exciting for him, as the two-time All-Star owns a measly .192 batting average and .197 OBP with 14 hits, one home run, and 12 RBIs through a league high 73 at-bats.

We’ll see if he and the Red Sox can dominate their first contest of the four-game series against the Tigers on Friday. That matchup is set to begin at 7:15 p.m. EST.
