Ravens looking at tight end in NFL Draft after losing Isaiah Likely

The Baltimore Ravens have 11 picks in this upcoming draft, and that’s enough to add some depth to a team that definitely needed it last season due to injuries. There are also some players left departed during free agency, and they’ll need to fill those holes while they can.

One of the positions they seem to have their eye on is tight end, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if they used one of their draft picks on a player like that.

“I think [at] tight end, we have a couple guys right now on the roster, but I think there’s a strong chance that we’ll add a couple more throughout, for sure,” Eric DeCosta said at a pre-draft press conference.

The Ravens lost Isaiah Likely to the New York Giants in free agency, and he was a big part of their success in the pass game for the past few years. Mark Andrews is still on the team, but his production has fluctuated throughout his career, and the Ravens may consider adding depth just in case.

If they do decide to draft a tight end, there are a few options, such as Max Klare from Ohio State, Eli Stowers from Vanderbilt, or Jack Endries from Texas. Any of those choices would be good for the Ravens, and they’re some of the better prospects coming out of the draft.

It also wouldn’t be a surprise to see them draft a wide receiver, which is an area where they haven’t excelled as much.

If the offense can add some more pieces, it could make Lamar Jackson’s job way easier. Even though everyone knows he can use his legs to make plays, it would be best if he could rely on other players on the team to make big plays as well.
