Paula Beer Finds a Home in Petzold's 'Miroirs No. 3' Official US Trailer

"I'm so glad that you're here." 1-2 Special has revealed the official US trailer for the special little indie film titled Miroirs No. 3, the latest creation from acclaimed German filmmaker Christian Petzold (of Barbara, Phoenix, Transit, Undine, Afire). This premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival last year in the Directors' Fortnight section and was one of my favorite gems from the festival (here's my full review). Glad it's finally getting a small theatrical release in the US starting this March. After a car crash in the countryside that kills her boyfriend, piano student Laura is taken in by Betty, who witnessed the accident, into their quiet home. Living with Betty's family brings comfort, but Laura starts questioning their intentions as the time passes. Director Christian Petzold spins a modern gothic fairytale about the lies we tell ourselves and the strange ways that grief, connection, and humanity bind and sustain us. The film stars Paula Beer with Matthias Brandt, Barbara Auer, and Enno Trebs. Very good film, very easy to watch and still entirely compelling.
