Patriots legend Rob Gronkowski reveals ‘beast-mode moment’ from most memorable non-Super Bowl game of career

The New England Patriots are currently looking for ways to get better after losing in the Super Bowl to the Seattle Seahawks last year in blowout fashion. The Patriots recently got some good news when it was announced that legendary franchise tight end Rob Gronkowski was being voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Gronkowski certainly knows a thing or two about winning Super Bowls, earning four rings in his career, including three as a member of the Patriots.

However, recently, the Hall of Fame revealed his favorite moment of his career outside of those Super Bowl wins, which occurred in a December 2017 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road, with the Patriots going on a 77-yard drive to win the game in the closing moments.

Mike Reiss of ESPN noted that the drive “included three straight completions to him (26, 26, 17 yards), a block to spring running back Dion Lewis for the game-winning 8-yard TD with one minute remaining and then catching a 2-point conversion on a fade from Tom Brady,” and was what Gronkowski refers to as his “beast-mode moment,” saying it was a ” “drive I’ll remember for [the rest of] my life.”

Gronkowski certainly had his fair share of epic moments during his career with the Patriots, and he ended up teaming with Tom Brady once again with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020, where the pair won another Super Bowl together.

The Patriots certainly could have used a player with Gronk’s talents in their Super Bowl loss to the Seahawks this past season, although the team is reportedly closing in on a deal for wide receiver AJ Brown, which should help out quarterback Drake Maye immensely.

For now, Gronkowski and the Patriots are left reminiscing on happier times.
