Norway vs England – Bet Builder Tips | 4/1 odds and prediction
After epic wins in the Round of 16, our Norway vs England bet builder covers their meeting in the World Cup quarter-finals in Miami on Saturday night, with the winner set to face Argentina or Switzerland in a final four showdown.
England are the betting favourites to win the match, but with Erling Haaland in such sensational form, a bet on the Three Lions may be a touch risky.

Thomas Tuchel’s team do boast impressive goalscorers of their own in Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham, but Norway looked good in their win over Brazil and can’t be underestimated.
So instead of betting on the match result, I’ve put together a three-leg bet builder at odds of 4/1 that is far better suited to a match set to be dominated by some of the competition’s top goalscorers.
Mexico vs England match details

Our 4/1 Bet Builder: Over 2.5 goals, Jude Bellingham to score or assist, Erling Haaland to score anytime
My bet builder is perfectly suited to this match as it doesn’t depend on a specific winner of the tie. There have been over 2.5 goals in all of Norway’s matches, and given the amount of goals scored on average, over 3.5 goals was even a consideration for this wager.
Harry Kane is England’s supreme marksman, but Jude Bellingham is fast becoming the driving force behind Thomas Tuchel’s team and England’s talisman. As for Erling Haaland, he is just a goal machine and his record speaks for itself. No bet builder is complete without including him to score.

Norway vs England bet builder breakdown
Over 2.5 goals
Why: There is just too much attacking talent on both teams for this match not to have plenty of goals. England has Kane and Bellingham in great form, Norway has Haaland.
Stat: England have kept just two clean sheets in this competition. One was against Panama and the other was against Ghana, who didn’t really offer much of an attacking threat. Norway have scored and conceded in all five of their games.
Jude Bellingham to score or assist
Why: With goal contributions in three of England’s five matches, it was surprising to see the Real Madrid star at odds against. Bellingham is having an outstanding tournament and looks set to continue his good form.
Stat: After doubts over his place in the starting line-up at the beginning of the competition, Bellingham has nailed down his position in the team with four goals and one assist in five matches.
Erling Haaland to score anytime
Why: It’s not often you find Erling Haaland priced at odds against to score in any match at any level. England have looked shaky at the back and all of the English backline will fear him.
Stat: Haaland has scored seven goals in his four matches at this World Cup. If Norway are to have a chance of going any further, they will need their in-form striker to produce the goods again.

Stats that matter for your bet
- Over 2.5 goals: All five of Norway’s matches at the World Cup have seen over 2.5 goals with both teams scoring.
- Jude Bellingham to score or assist: Bellingham has scored or assisted in three of England’s five matches and looks to be having more of an influence as the tournament goes on.
- Erling Haaland to score anytime: Haaland is enjoying a spectacular World Cup debut and has found the net in all four of his appearances. His haul includes three braces.
- Additional information: Norway’s five matches have seen 21 goals scored at an average of 4.2 goals per game. England’s matches have seen 16 goals at 3.2 per game.
Why we are backing this bet builder
My bet builder combines the attacking strengths of both teams and is based on two of the top performers at this year’s World Cup.
There have been three or more goals in all five of Norway’s matches at the competition, and with the team built around Erling Haaland, there is little to suggest they will change tactics when they face England.
The Three Lions have plenty of attacking quality of their own. Harry Kane has six goals at the World Cup and Jude Bellingham has four. Like Norway, England’s style is built more on attacking play than defending.
Bellingham not only scores goals, but can also provide assists. While for Norway, Erling Haaland has looked almost impossible to stop, and if he is once again on top form, he could help his nation topple England.
Norway vs England odds
England are the betting favourites at 5/6 to win in 90 minutes, with Norway 3/1 to win and the draw at 11/4.
Thomas Tuchel’s side are 4/9 to win the tie by any method, while Norway are 13/8 to keep their dream run going and reach the semi-final for the first time in their history.
England are 15/2 to win the tie after extra-time and 11/1 to win on penalties. Norway are 12/1 to win after extra-time and also 11/1 to win via a shootout.

Norway vs England match prediction and line-ups
What a match this promises to be. England have looked a bit loose at the back over the course of the competition and have conceded five goals in five matches.
The flip side is that the Three Lions have scored 11 goals and they also have both Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham firing on all cylinders. Their Achilles heel could be an over-reliance on the duo, who have scored ten of England’s goals.
Norway are only too aware of this as they have similar issues. The Vikings have scored 12 goals at the World Cup, with seven of them coming from Erling Haaland. However, their game plan has worked up until this point and there is no reason why it can’t continue.
Haaland also plays his football in England, and with goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and all of the English defence only too aware of his strengths, the Manchester City goal machine may already hold a psychological advantage over his fellow Premier League performers.
This match should come down to more than just a shootout between the English front two and Haaland, and this is where Thomas Tuchel’s team should hold the upper hand.
England started with Ollie Watkins, Marcus Rashford and Noni Madueke on the bench against Mexico. None of them came on with the match direction altered by Jarell Quansah’s red card.
But under different circumstances, Rashford and Madueke at the very least would have come on if England had needed them. It’s this strength in depth that should see England win the tie.
Prediction: Norway 1-3 England
- Jude Bellingham to register another goal contribution
- Erling Haaland to score again
Norway Predictions: Marcus Holmgren Pedersen missed the 2-1 win over Brazil in the Round of 32. Norway head coach Stale Solbakken suggested it was the load of extensive travel and fatigue that led to Pedersen missing out.
Adding further intrigue, there was a rumoured sickness bug taking hold in the Norway camp earlier in the week. Assuming there are no casualties from the bug, Norway should line up the same as they did against Brazil in their preferred 4-3-3 system.
- Predicted XI: Nyland; Ryerson, Ajer, Heggem, Moller Wolfe; Odegaard, Berge, Berg; Nusa, Sorloth, Haaland.
England predictions: Thomas Tuchel should stick with his tried and tested 4-2-3-1 formula. His only real decisions to make are in attack where he has to choose which of Anthony Gordon or Marcus Rashford starts on the left and who starts down the right out of Bukayo Saka or Noni Madueke.
Jarell Quansah is banned after his sending off against Mexico, but there is talk that Reece James may have recovered and he could slot straight back into the side at right-back. If James doesn’t recover in time, Djed Spence is likely to step in again.
Jordan Henderson is definitely out after his freak injury celebrating England’s win over Mexico ruled him out of the remainder of the tournament.
- Predicted XI: Pickford; James, Konsa, Guehi, O’Reilly; Anderson, Rice; Rashford, Bellingham, Saka; Kane.
