New York fans serenade Cavs with ‘Knicks in 4’ chants after Game 2

Nothing adds insult to a loss like the loud heckles of rowdy fans as the game clock ticks away. That is exactly what the Cleveland Cavaliers experienced in Game 2 against the New York Knicks on Thursday.

The Knicks ran away with the win, 109-93, at Madison Square Garden to take a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals, pulling them closer to reaching the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999.

With the outcome already settled, and Tyrese Proctor dribbling the ball in the closing seconds, the home crowd serenaded the Cavaliers with deafening chants of “Knicks in 4!”

Over 19,000 fans packed Madison Square Garden in Game 2.

It is hard to blame the loud fans for feeling confident. After all, they have been starving for a championship for over five decades.

But as Jalen Brunson stressed, the job is far from finished. They will be in hostile territory for the next two games as the best-of-seven series shifts to Rocket Arena. Game 3 is on Saturday.
