New 2026 Re-Release Trailer for John Woo's 'Hard Boiled' + 2 Others

GKids has revealed a new trailer for the highly anticipated 4K remastered re-release of 3 iconic Hong Kong action movies from the mastermind filmmaker John Woo. Coming up next year, they will be screening special event versions of his three best movies: Hard Boiled (in January 2026), A Better Tomorrow (in March 2026), and The Killer (in April 2026). Shout! Studios, a Radial Ent., Hong Kong Cinema Classics, and GKIDS are proud to announce a national theatrical release of three "Hong King Cinema Classic" movies. Newly restored & remastered in 4K, each will be presented on approximately 800 screens nationwide in the US, making this the widest North American theatrical release these movies have ever received. Each film will also be followed by prerecorded interviews with John Woo discussing each title in detail. Hard Boiled stars Chow Yun-Fat & Tony Leung Chiu-wai. A Better Tomorrow stars Lung Ti, Leslie Cheung, & Chow Yun-Fat. The Killer stars Chow Yun-Fat, Danny Lee, Sally Yeh. These are three must watch action classics anyway.
