Nelly Korda is one of the most dominant athletes in the world right now
She is inevitable.
The LPGA Tour didn’t slow down after the Chevron Championship and neither did its winner in Nelly Korda. The tour was at Mayakoba in Mexico and the results were the same as ever. Nelly Korda is that inevitable.
Nelly cleared runner-up Arpichaya Yubol by four strokes in the process secured her 18th career victory. It was her third win of this season specifically and notably her 23rd point towards the LPGA Hall of Fame (27 points are required).
We are witnessing a truly outrageous season from Korda, though. The LPGA Tour noted that she has more wins this season than players who have finished ahead of her this year in events. You are not misreading that. Nelly has won three times this season and has only seen two players, Hyo Joo Kim twice and Lauren Coughlin) finish ahead of her in tournament play.
Nelly Korda, 2026
- Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions: Win
- Fortinet Founders Cup: 2nd
- Ford Championship presented by Wild Horse Pass: 2nd
- Aramco Championship: T2
- The Chevron Championship: Win
- Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba: Win
This was also a notable appearance in general for Nelly. With the tournament taking place the week after a major championship there were not a lot of top names in the field. Beth Ann Nichols noted specifically that Nelly was actually the only top-10 player in the world in Mexico.
It is Nelly Korda’s world and everyone is just living in it.
