If they decide to trade the star forward this summer, they will not consider any sign-and-trade scenarios involving free agents from other teams.

Conventional trade discussions, however, remain active. Siegel notes that both the Houston Rockets and New Orleans Pelicans have engaged in specific trade talks with Boston in recent weeks. Additionally, the Minnesota Timberwolves inquired about Brown’s availability before finalizing a blockbuster trade with the Hornets for LaMelo Ball.

Despite ongoing rumors around the league, sources close to the situation told ClutchPoints that Brown has never approached Brad Stevens or the Celtics’ front office to request a trade.
