Must See US Trailer for 'A Useful Ghost' Thai Vacuum Ghost Comedy
"I never want to scare people. I just want to be with you." Fandor has debuted the official US trailer for one of the year's best indie discoveries from around the world - a Thai film called A Useful Ghost, marking the feature directorial debut of talented filmmaker Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke. This first premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival where it won the top prize in the Critics Week sidebar, earning rave reviews from critics everywhere. It's now set for a US release in January and is also Thailand's submission to the Oscars this year. Worried about her husband being allergic to dust, Nat, a recently-dead woman, returns as a ghost possessing a vacuum cleaner to clean the house & protect her family from other vengeful ghosts. To become a useful ghost, she needs to get rid of the useless ones. It's a remarkably clever, modern spin on ghost movies and horror, offering up a quirky, funny, sentimental story about ghosts actually being good (and "useful"). Starring Davika Hoorne, Witsarut Himmarat, Apasiri Nitibhon, Wanlop Rungkumjud, Wisarut Homhuan. I'm a big fan of this film and everyone who watches it finds it so clever and fun! Glad to see it's finally getting a theatrical debut in the US soon after all the festivals. Highly recommend this film. Official US trailer (+ […]
