Hors Jeu

Just a three runner race to kick things off on Monday at Plumpton, where both Star Of Affinity and Hors Jeu improved enough over fences to place second but still showed signs of novice jumping.

Whereas Wheres Cato won last time out on her first start over fences, but it only prompted a 2lb rise.

That was over 3m when 20/1 at Huntingdon so could improve further, just like the rest of the field, but both jockey and trainer haven’t been running well recently to prompt support.

Hors Jeu however, was only denied narrowly last time out and looks like he can battle for the line better than these two rivals.

Icare Grandchamp

Harry Redknapp owns this Kapgarde eight-year-old and he looks like he’s continuing to progress steadily over fences.

Placed 2nd last time out to nudge up 2lb for the first time in four runs so that was a clear improvement amongst some decent chasers.

Certainly suited dropping down from a Class 3 where he wasn’t disgraced back in fifth in December at Newbury after a lengthy layoff, should have this season to improve further.
