Mitchell Robinson reacts to Donald Trump attending Game 3 of NBA Finals
The New York Knicks are preparing for Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Friday night, but center Mitchell Robinson is already looking forward to Game 3 back at Madison Square Garden for one particular reason.
Donald Trump is set to attend Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the Knicks and San Antonio Spurs on Monday night inside New York’s famed arena. The announcement of Trump’s attendance has already meant Garden security is going through immense security measures to ensure they’re ready for his arrival while also balancing over 400 media members coming into the city and thousands of Knicks fans ready.
Fans took to social media to joke about Mitchell Robinson, who is a known Trump supporter, and how he would celebrate Trump’s attending his team’s game. Robinson responded to one of the posts, saying, “You ain’t lying brother.”

Tickets for Game 3 skyrocketed after the Knicks won Game 1 in San Antonio, with prices eclipsing $8,000 on the secondary market just to get in the building. As of Friday, those prices have increased to over $9,000, which, if that holds, is expected to be the most expensive NBA Finals ticket ever simply to get through the doors.
Donald Trump was asked ahead of his trip to Wisconsin on Friday what he had to say about ticket prices being really high and unaffordable for the average American.
“You can watch it on television,” Donald Trump responded. “It’s sort of semi-free to watch it on television. That’s the way life goes. Now if the team wasn’t a big success, you can go very easily. You can do that too. But that’s the way life is.”
Game 3 is set to tip off on Monday, June 8th at 8:30PM EST.
