English all-rounder Liam Livingstone has been named captain of the London Spirit for the 2026 Men's Hundred competition set to commence in July.

Livingstone is one of the most reputed players in the T20 circuit worldwide and has been one of the stalwarts of the Hundred since its inception. He has spent five years with the Birmingham Phoenix and has captained the side in 2025. He was one of four signings for the Spirit for their Men's team, alongside Jamie Overton, Dewald Brevis and Adam Zampa.

Livingstone is the sixth-highest run-scorer in the tournament, scoring 996 runs in just 36 innings, at a strike rate of 148.87 with six half-centuries and a highest score of 92*. His 71 sixes are the most hit by any player in the competition, and he was named Most Valuable Player in the first edition of the tournament in 2021, scoring 348 runs at a whopping strike rate of 178.46 as the Phoenix reached the final.

“I am really looking forward to leading London Spirit out at Lord’s this summer. It’s an iconic ground and with the largest crowds in the country, I know the fans will create a special atmosphere for every match. There is so much talent throughout the squad and I want us to make some history this summer. I can’t wait to get started," Livingstone said in an official statement.

“Liam is a fantastic person to work with, both on and off the field. I’ve known him since he and I were both with the England Lions. Signing him to London Spirit was one of the first things we wanted to do because we knew how significant he will be to everything we are doing at Lord’s this summer. Liam’s determination to improve and succeed is fundamental to what we are looking to establish at London Spirit. He will lead from the front: of that, I have no doubt," London Spirit Head Coach, Andy Flower, said in the statement.

The Spirit have also announced their full lineup of coaches for the season. Former England off-spinner Graeme Swann joins the highly successful duo of Andy Flower and Dinesh Karthik as the spin bowling coach of the side.

London Spirit Men’s Coaching Team:

Andy Flower (Head Coach), Dinesh Karthik (Batting Coach & Mentor), Graeme Swann (Spin Bowling Coach), Andre Adams (Pace Bowling Coach), Richard Halsall (Fielding & Wicket Keeping Coach)

London Spirit Women’s Coaching Team:
