Luke Littler admits he won World Masters after making girlfriend birthday blunder

Luke Littler was more thankful than ever for winning the World Masters as he made up for letting down his girlfriend.

The World No.1’s success on Sunday moved him to within one title of remarkably completing the Career Slam at the age of 19.

It was a huge moment for Littler, who had never managed to win the tournament before, until he beat Luke Humphries 6-5.

By achieving glory in Milton Keynes, he picked up a whopping £100,000 in prize money to add to his ever-growing bank account.

Littler has earned almost £3million over the last year just in prizes, so he’s sure to be treating his girlfriend, Faith Millar.

However, despite that, he admitted after winning the World Masters that he hadn’t bought Millar a birthday present yet.

The teenage sensation said on Sunday: “It is Faith’s birthday. I didn’t get her anything, but at least I got the trophy.

“We can go shopping tomorrow. It’s going to go!

“There was no pressure on me today, but there was a little bit to try and get the win for her and my family.”

Littler getting his hands on the World Masters trophy is sure to have made up for his birthday blunder.

The couple have been publicly together since March 2025 and Millar has been present at every darts event since.

She was in attendance last month when Littler defended his crown at the World Darts Championship, winning the £1million prize.

Littler busy shopping

After winning the World Masters for the first time, Littler spoke about how he would be taking Millar shopping.

And that’s not the first time he’s hinted at treating his partner after a success on the big stage…

Speaking after claiming £1million at the World Championship, he told talkSPORT how he’d likely be spending his cash.

Littler didn’t have any idea what he would be buying at the time, saying he wouldn’t be getting a new car.

But he then said when asked if Millar could help come up with an idea on how to use his winnings: “She can think of something.

“I can definitely treat her!”

When is Littler in action next?

The next chance for Littler to collect even more prize money will come on Thursday, February 5.

It is the first night of the 2026 Premier League campaign, with the 19-year-old taking on Gian van Veen in his opening game.

Should he win on Thursday, he’d claim a £10,000 bonus and begin the journey to the overall £350,000 winners’ prize.

talkSPORT 2 will have live coverage of Night 1 of the Premier League Darts in Newcastle, with commentary coming from Ian Danter, Paul Nicholson and Chris Mason.
