Lauren Coughlin goes wire to wire to win LPGA’s Aramco Championship

Shadow Creek fully and totally belonged to Lauren Coughlin this past week.

It was an impressive outing for Coughlin, her third career LPGA Tour victory, and she made matters quite boring with stellar play down the stretch. Shadow Creek always shines, but seeing somebody dominate it makes it all the more fun.

Interestingly this was the first win for Coughlin that occurred within the United States. Golf can be a funny game like that sometimes.

This was a massive event for the LPGA Tour, though. Earlier in the week before play began, LPGA Commissioner Craig Kessler noted that this was the first time since 2017 where all of the top 20 players in the ROLEX Women’s World Golf Rankings were competing together in an LPGA Tour event other than a major or the CME Group Tour Championship. Lauren Coughlin should be proud.

We are right around the corner from the first major championship of the professional golf season at large in the Masters, but the Chevron Championship lurks as well.

Be ready.
