Lakers’ Luka Doncic had jokes about becoming a girl dad again
When Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic missed last week’s Raptors game, he had a good reason: he became a girl dad for a second time. Doncic joked about being a father of two girls after the Lakers’ 112-108 win against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Doncic says it’s a blessing and joked that he’ll take on a new career after his playing days.
“The best thing in the world. Obviously, two girls they’re going to make my life hell, for sure. I know that. I’m going to be their security after I retire,” Doncic said. “All jokes aside, it’s the best thing in the world. I’m just blessed.”
Luka recorded a triple-double (31 points, 15 rebounds, 11 assists) in the Lakers’ four-point win against the Sixers. In his first full season with the Lakers, Doncic is having an MVP-caliber season. He’s averaging 35.0 points on 47.2% shooting, 9.2 rebounds, 9.1 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.
The Lakers are 8-2 in their last 10 games.
Luka Doncic passes Nikola Jokic on all-time list in Lakers’ win

Lakers guard Luka Doncic’s triple-double against the 76ers put him ahead of Nuggets All-Star Nikola Jokic for most 30-point triple-doubles. Doncic passed Jokic for second all-time, with only Hall of Fame guard Oscar Robertson ahead of them both.
As Doncic’s impressive season continues, the Lakers have climbed up the Western Conference standings, with only the defending champion Thunder having a better record. Plus, Lakers All-Star LeBron James turned in his best game of the season against the Sixers.
James finished with 29 points on 12-of-17 attempts, including 4-of-6 from deep, seven rebounds, six assists, one block, and one steal.
The Lakers will host the Spurs in the NBA Cup quarter-final on Wednesday.
