Lakers’ Bronny James gets 100% real on alley-oop from LeBron in NBA playoffs

Bronny James expressed amazement towards his alley-oop connection with his father LeBron James during Game 3 of the Los Angeles Lakers’ clash with the Houston Rockets on Friday night.

Bronny has seen limited playing time on the court throughout this postseason, mainly featuring in the second quarter. While he didn’t score in the first two games, he finally got on the scoreboard in Game 3.

In nine minutes of action, Bronny made both of his shot attempts to finish with five points. One of those shots was a 3-pointer that LeBron created for him by using a screen. The other one highlighted LeBron throwing up an alley-oop pass to Bronny, who caught the ball as he pulled off a reverse layup to create the remarkable play.

Bronny reflected on the feat after the game, via reporter Khobi Price. He stated it has been a while since he pulled that off with his father but had confidence he was going to complete the play.

“I’m not sure when was the last time I got an oop from him. Probably in training camp last year, maybe this year. It was just one of those things…he saw me and saw that I was making eye contact with him, so he threw it up and I can always go get it,” James said.

How Bronny James, Lakers played against Rockets

LeBron and Bronny will continue enjoying their time together on the court as the Lakers boast a 3-0 series lead after beating the Rockets in overtime in Game 3.

Five players scored in double-digits for Los Angeles in the win, including LeBron. He finished with a stat line of 29 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, three steals, and a block. Rui Hachimura came next with 22 points and four rebounds, Marcus Smart had 21 points and 10 assists, Luke Kennard put up 14 points and six assists, while Jaxson Hayes provided 12 points and four rebounds.

The Lakers will look to complete the sweep when they face the Rockets in Game 4. The game will commence on April 26 at 9:30 p.m. ET.
