Kurt Angle wants Brock Lesnar to enjoy WWE ‘retirement’

After weeks of intense buildup and brutal violence, Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi faced each other in the first match of WWE WrestleMania Night Two. However, in less than five minutes, Femi brutally squashed and defeated Lesnar.

The concluding moments of the match saw Femi bask in his glory, while Lesnar broke down in the middle of the ring. It was followed by Paul Heyman entering the ring and sharing a hug with Lesnar. Shortly after, Lesnar opened and left his gloves and boots in the ring before exiting it and making his way to the back with Heyman. While Lesnar did not officially confirm his retirement, both he and WWE’s commentary team strongly hinted at it.

This was followed by WWE Hall of Famer and one of Lesnar’s iconic rivals, Kurt Angle, sharing a strong message on social media. “Love you my brother. There will only be one like you. Enjoy retirement Brock [Lesnar].”

There is a significant history between Angle and Lesnar. Both men main-evented WrestleMania 19, where Lesnar defeated Angle to win the WWE Championship. Both Lesnar and Angle have faced each other in several matches throughout their career.

Later, during the WWE WrestleMania 42 post-show, commentator Joe Tessitore also teased Lesnar retiring from pro-wrestling after the match. However, there are currently no confirmed updates on it.

Hours before WrestleMania 42 began, a report from Fightful Select emerged, which claimed that many within WWE expected Lesnar to retire at the 2026 SummerSlam PLE. However, neither the SummerSlam nor the WrestleMania retirement plans are confirmed as of yet.
