Knicks superfan Paul Heyman boldly declares it’s ‘over’ for 76ers before Game 2

Following their 39-point Game 1 beatdown of the Philadelphia 76ers, Paul Heyman thinks the New York Knicks have their series in the bag before Game 2 commences.

Appearing on ESPN’s Get Up to promote the upcoming WWE Backlash PLE, Heyman declared “it’s over” for the Sixers. This prediction came hours before Game 2 is set to be played at Madison Square Garden.

“Oh, come on, people. It’s over,” Heyman declared before doubling down, “You know that it’s over, and who else to learn this from except for Paul Heyman, the most popular man in the history of Philadelphia? They should take down the Rocky statue and put up a statue of Paul Heyman.”

The City of Brotherly Love is known for epic comeback stories, some fictional, like the Rocky series. However, Heyman reminded Philadelphia fans that this isn’t a fairytale — it’s real life.

“Hey, Rocky lost in the Rocky movie; don’t you get that? The Knicks are going to win, and even if this was a Rocky movie, this ain’t no Rocky movie. This is New York we’re talking about. While the Knicks fans are celebrating outside Madison Square Garden after the Knicks just sweep out Philadelphia, the 76ers [are] simply going to be sitting there crying.”

Will the Knicks sweep the 76ers in the playoffs?

If Game 1 was any indication, the Knicks should handily beat the 76ers. However, as the Sixers just showed in their last series, they are resilient. It will be important that New York does not take their foot off the gas pedal, no matter how much they are up on the scoreboard.

The Sixers just erased a 3-1 deficit against the Boston Celtics in their last playoff series, winning three in a row to close out the series.

However, they got beaten down by the Knicks in Game 1, losing by 39 points. To make matters worse, they won’t have Joel Embiid in Game 2, either. He was ruled out due to his ankle and hip injuries.
