Knicks superfan Ben Stiller was in awe of Josh Hart’s dominant 26-point performance in Celtics win
While it was a back-and-forth affair, the New York Knicks survived the Boston Celtics, and Ben Stiller was impressed by Josh Hart‘s heroics to seal the win.
Stiller, who was at the game at Madison Square Garden, was live-posting throughout the game. As the home stretch approached, Stiller wrote, “JOSH HART,” on X, formerly Twitter.
With the win, the Knicks took the series home against the Celtics during the 2025-26 regular season, winning three out of their four matchups. There is a chance that they meet again in the playoffs, assuming they both win their first-round matchups.
Josh Hart helped seal the Knicks’ win over the Celtics

Hart’s team-leading 26-point performance was key in securing the Knicks’ fourth win in a row. Early on, the Celtics gave him chances from beyond the three-point line. He took advantage, making five of his seven three-pointers. He also made 10 of his 15 total shots.
This was the most points Hart has scored since the Knicks’ game against the Indiana Pacers on Mar. 17, 2026. He scored 33 points, which is still his season-high, in the game and was perfect from beyond the three-point line and nearly perfect from the floor (making 12 of 13 shots).
With just a couple of games left in the regular season, Hart is averaging 12.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game. He is averaging over seven fewer minutes per game this season after averaging a career-high 37.6 minutes per game during the 2024-25 season.
Jalen Brunson was right behind Hart, scoring 25 points as well, and he had 10 assists. Karl-Anthony Towns had 16 points and 12 rebounds, while OG Anunoby added 13 points.
The game marked the return to Madison Square Garden for Jayson Tatum, who ruptured his Achilles tendon the last time he played there in May 2025.
Both teams are looking ahead to the postseason. The Celtics are still ahead of the Knicks in the Eastern Conference standings with a record of 54-26. The Knicks have a record of 52-28.
