Knicks’ Josh Hart’s ‘crazy’ reaction to Heat-Hornets play-in thriller goes viral
The recent NBA play-in game between the Miami Heat and Charlotte Hornets was wild, ending in overtime, and New York Knicks guard Josh Hart was locked in.
He took to X, formerly Twitter, after the game to share his thoughts. Hart conceded that the “Hornets and Heat game was crazy” to his fans.
Of course, there is a chance that Hart and the Knicks face in the playoffs. However, they would both have to win their first-round matchups to make that happen.
Hart and the Knicks begin their series against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday, Apr. 18. The Knicks have homecourt advantage in the series since they were the higher seed.
The Heat-Hornets overtime thriller in the play-in game

The play-in game between the Heat and Hornets was played on Tuesday, Apr. 14, 2026, in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was a tight contest, with the teams being tied at 114 at the end of the fourth quarter.
Ultimately, the Hornets hung on to win after a LeMelo Ball layup with a few seconds left in overtime. He led the Hornets with 30 points in the contest, also logging five rebounds and 10 assists. However, he did make just two of his 16 three-pointers, and the Hornets only made 18 of 56 total in the game.
Miles Bridges also scored 29 points and logged nine rebounds. Brandon Miller scored 20 points and had five rebounds and five assists.
The Heat were led by Davion Mitchell, who scored 28 points in the game. Kel’el Ware also had a big role, snatching 19 rebounds in 42 minutes. Andrew Wiggins and Tyler Herro also scored 27 and 23 points, respectively.
While the win against the Heat was great, the Hornets still need one more win to make the playoffs. They will play the loser of the game between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Orlando Magic. That game will take place on Wednesday, Apr. 15.
