Kevin Durant catches Sparks-Lynx game in WNBA Commissioner’s Cup
Houston Rockets forward Kevin Durant always needs his basketball fix. Now that the NBA is over, Durant attended the game between the Los Angeles Sparks and the Minnesota Lynx in the WNBA Commissioners’ Cup at Crypto.com Arena on Wednesday.
The Sparks were coming off a loss to the Golden State Valkyries, 78-58, at Chase Center, while the Lynx notched their eighth win in nine assignments after routing the Portland Fire, 107-74, at Target Center.
Durant has been repeatedly spotted watching the WNBA, and he has often expressed his support for the league and its players.

He will be even more invested in the WNBA next season, as the Houston Comets will make a return following the relocation of the Connecticut Sun to Texas. Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta bought the franchise for $300 million, which the WNBA approved a few weeks ago.
The Comets were the league’s first dynasty, winning four straight titles. They beat the Sparks in the conference finals in back-to-back years en route to their last two crowns.
Last year, Durant also watched the Sparks take on the Atlanta Dream at Crypto.com Arena. The two-time Finals MVP even had a postgame chat with Los Angeles center Cameron Brink, who was then sidelined by an ACL injury.
Brink and Kelsey Plum sat out against the Lynx due to an ankle injury and a leg injury, respectively.
As of writing, the Sparks are trailing the Lynx by a sizable margin in the fourth quarter. Rae Burrell has 18 points and three assists, while Dearica Hamby has 12 points, nine rebounds, and three steals.
