Kenny Dillingham rips Jordyn Tyson critics amid toughness questions ahead of NFL Draft
The NFL Draft is just a few days away, and teams are likely finalizing their strategy and scouting. One of the top prospects is Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson, who is deemed a first-round pick, with some mock drafts even pegging him a top-10 selection.
He is touted as arguably the best option at pass-catcher with his size, speed, and dexterity. He tallied 61 receptions for 711 yards and eight touchdowns in nine appearances for the Sun Devils in 2025, earning him a spot on the All-Big First Team for the second straight year.
However, there have been concerns about Tyson’s toughness, as he sat out multiple games in his college career due to major ailments, including a hamstring injury that hobbled him in his final season.
Arizona State coach Kenny Dillingham reiterated that toughness has never been a problem for the 21-year-old Tyson.
“That dude didn’t miss practice. He was moved around the entire field. I think he’s led the country in targets for two straight years,” said Nieman in a video posted by Fox 10 Phoenix’s Blake Nieman.
“I’m not really worried about his durability, I’m not worried about his toughness. That kid’s extremely tough. People don’t know he’s played with stitches in his hand.”

Tyson, the younger brother of Cleveland Cavaliers guard Jaylon Tyson, has scheduled a workout for several teams six days before the NFL Draft to answer questions about his health, according to a report from Field Level Media.
Tyson did not participate in the NFL Combine due to his hamstring injury.
Dillingham doubled down on his sales pitch about his former player.
“He is a kid who’s going to block you. Go put on the tape. He’s a football player you want to have on your team. That is a guy who is going to be the face of an organization,” added Dillingham, who led the Sun Devils to an 8-5 record.
