Kayshon Boutte’s full extension TD catch is an NFL Playoffs moment to remember
Offense has been tough to come by in Sunday’s AFC Divisional Round game between the New England Patriots and the visiting Houston Texans. Between snowy conditions, two defenses that have made life tough for the opposition, and two young quarterbacks trying to navigate the conditions, it has been a defensive slugfest through three quarters.
But Kayshon Boutte injected some offense into the game early in the fourth quarter, and might have delivered the catch of the season.
After the Texans cut New ENgland’s lead to 21-16 with a field goal, the Patriots needed a response. New England had a 21-10 lead at the break, but had yet to get anything going on offense in the second half.
Drake Maye and company moved into Houston territory, but faced a 3rd and 4 at the Texans’ 32-yard line. Maye looked downfield in the vertical passing game for Boutte, who did … this:
