Jose Alvarado drops the mic after stunning Spurs in Game 4

The New York Knicks created new NBA Finals and league history Wednesday. The San Antonio Spurs blew a 29-point lead in falling to New York 107-106. OG Anunoby delivered the put back for the ages, while Jose Alvarado finished with the mic drop.

The Bronx native ran into The MSG (Madison Square Garden) Network after the epic comeback got complete. Alvarado got asked “what just happened?”

Alvarado went with blunt honesty as his answer.

“That’s called Knicks basketball,” Alvarado said. “Stay together, be together. And look at this f—— energy man. This is who we do it for.”

Alvarado even shared a simple message shared by head coach Mike Brown and the team while down by the massive deficit.

“Stay together, and chop the lead down,” Alvarado said. “More important, stay together and stay confident.”

Alvarado even pulled off a crucial play that set up the Anunoby second chance points. He nearly came close to being called for a back court violation but managed to avoid having the basketball a mere few inches away from having the whistle blown. Brown managed to call the timeout.

The head coach clearly wanted the ball in the hands of New York’s best shooter Jalen Brunson. He misfired dee from 3-point land, but Anunoby flew in for the basket that will live rent free in Knicks fans heads.

New York fans stayed as long as they could inside MSG, taking in the franchise’s first finals win since 1999. The world witnessed the biggest comeback in finals history. Alvarado hailed it Knicks basketball at its finest, though.
