Jordon Hudson jokes about hard times with Bill Belichick in Kentucky Derby post

Jordon Hudson knows how to make light of a moment, and the competitive cheerleader did just that for her post about the Kentucky Derby, which she attended alongside Bill Belichick.

“Not the first time we’ve trudged through the mud together,” Hudson wrote on Instagram, seemingly referring to the couple making headlines over the years regarding their relationship.

The couple made their entrance at the 2026 Kentucky Derby with the UNC football head coach, with a light blue suit jacket, pale pink dress shirt with a matching tie, and darker blue dress pants. Hudson went for a more colorful look with a floral bandeau dress and pink floral headband.

Hudson and Belichick have had their fair share of public ups and downs following the confirmation of their relationship in 2023. They have become a hot topic online due to their 49-year age gap. On top of that, the couple went viral last year when Hudson accompanied Belichick to his CBS Sunday Morning interview, where she interrupted journalist Tony Dokoupil as he asked how they met.

“We’re not talking about this,” Hudson interjected.

Belichick defended Hudson, stating that she was trying to keep the interview on track.

“I agreed to speak with CBS Sunday Morning to promote my new book, The Art of Winning — Lessons from My Life in Football. Prior to this interview, I clearly communicated with my publicist at Simon & Schuster that any promotional interviews I participated in would agree to focus solely on the contents of the book,” Belichick wrote in a statement, sent via email from the University of North Carolina per PEOPLE.

“Unfortunately, that expectation was not honored during the interview. I was surprised when unrelated topics were introduced, and I repeatedly expressed to the reporter, Tony Dokoupil, and the producers that I preferred to keep the conversation centered on the book,” he continued. “After this occurred several times, Jordon, with whom I share both a personal and professional relationship, stepped in to reiterate that point to help refocus the discussion.”

However, CBS denied Belichick’s claims, stating that he agreed to a “wide-ranging interview.”

She even poked fun at the moment with her Halloween costume that year when she dressed up as herself.

“The costume I never seem to be able to take off,” Hudson captioned her Instagram post.
