Jim Harbaugh’s World Cup message will get team fired up
The 2026 FIFA World Cup is now in full swing in North America. The USMNT team will kick things off on Friday against Paraguay. Fans are pulling out all the stops, one of them is Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh.
He gave a passionate pep talk before the game that meets what the USMNT would certainly want to hear, Men in Blazers.
“I tell them to play as hard as they can, as fast as they can, as long as they can, and keep their wits about them and don’t worry,” Harbough said.

Just as any coach would do, focus on the little things, and everything will take care of itself. The USMNT is trying to win its first World Cup ever. They could go undefeated through the group stage, given who they are playing in Group D. Their opponents include Paraguay, Australia, and Turkiye.
Turkiye is expected to be their toughest opponent, who are playing in their first World Cup since 2002.
In addition to being a prominent American Football coach, Harbaugh has suddenly become a passionate soccer fan. He is not only attending the game against Paraguay at Sofi Stadium, the Chargers’ home stadium, but has also invited USMNT manager Mauricio Pochettino to the Chargers’ practice facility.
His attendance will be the first time he has attended a live soccer match.
The United States is hosting its first World Cup since 1994. They advanced to the knockout stage in 2002, 2010, and 2022. However, the Americans have not gotten past the Round of 16.
