Jets bring in ex-Geno Smith teammate amid free agency
The New York Jets are looking all options they can find at quarterback, ahead of the 2026 NFL season. New York is giving veteran play caller Russell Wilson a visit, per The Athletic.
“The Jets hosted Russell Wilson for a visit and are considering him as an option to be Geno Smith’s No. 2 quarterback, according to a source,” Zack Rosenblatt posted to X, formerly Twitter.
The Jets have the veteran Smith at quarterback, heading into 2026. New York also drafted Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
