Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns lead Knicks past Spurs in Game 2
Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns and the New York Knicks remain on fire with their win streak, stunning the San Antonio Spurs once again after beating them in Game 2 of the 2026 NBA Finals on Friday night.
Going into the game, New York held a 1-0 series lead after getting past the Spurs 105-95 in Game 1. This presented an opportunity for them to go up 2-0 in the series, getting them closer to the franchise’s first title since 1973.
San Antonio hoped it wouldn’t lose both its home games to start the championship series, but New York had other plans. Towns delivered an incredible performance on both sides of the ball, while Brunson made a free throw that gifted his team the final lead of the night. In other words, the Knicks are two wins away from winning the championship after Game 2.
