Ivan Toney picks one current Premier League star in all-time Mount Rushmore selection
Ivan Toney named his favourite ever Premier League strikers in an exclusive talkSPORT interview.
The Al Ahli and England star joined talkSPORT’s Darren Bent on Wednesday, when he also discussed his electric form in the Saudi Pro League.

Toney leads the league’s goalscoring charts, with a staggering 23 goals in 22 games, ahead of football icon Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Englishman knows a thing or two about finding the back of the net, having enjoyed a 20-goal season with Brentford during his three-year spell in the Premier League.
His exploits with the Bees earned him an England call-up in 2022, before going on to feature in their run to the final of Euro 2024.
Kane earns Toney praise
With seven caps to date, Toney has had plenty of opportunity to take notes off Three Lions talisman and record goalscorer Harry Kane.
Having served as back-up to the Bayern Munich star throughout his international career, the conversation soon turned to Toney’s positional rival.
Asked for his thoughts on Kane, he told talkSPORT: “I’ve said in interviews before, he’s probably, for me, one of the best finishers in football, if not the best.
“When he’s in front of goal, nine times out of ten it’s in the back of the net.
“With a player like that, I think you can learn a lot. He gets in goal scoring positions a lot and he knows where the goal is.
“Anyone watching him or looking up to him, or being around him could learn a lot from him.”
Toney’s Mount Rushmore
Despite heaping praise on Kane, Toney stopped shorted of naming him among his best ever Premier League strikers.

The Saudi Pro League star was asked to build his Mount Rushmore of goalscorers in the English top-flight – a practice which involves picking four greats to put on the iconic landmark in place of the four US presidents for which it is famous.
Toney at first opted for four strikers with whom he never crossed paths in the Premier League.
Naming his Mt. Rushmore, the boyhood Liverpool fan began: “I’m going to say Luis Suarez.
“I’m going to say Wayne Rooney, I’m going to say Fernando Torres and I have to say Sergio Aguero.”
Toney was instead quizzed on his decision to leave Arsenal icon Thierry Henry out of his top four.
On the two-time Premier League winner, he said: “I can remember watching him, but not regularly.

“Obviously he’s top. If I see a lot more of him, from what I’ve watched, then I’d put him in.”
However, Toney was soon forced to backtrack on his initial selection, when he was reminded of the Premier League’s current top goalscorer, Erling Haaland.
After swapping the Torres out for the Manchester City talisman, Toney said of him: “He’s not normal. He’s like a robot.
“I remember when I was in the Prem and scoring goals, I thought, ‘I’m going to catch him here.’ But then he scored three hat-tricks in a row.”
