Is Ayo Dosunmu playing tonight? Timberwolves vs. Spurs 2026 NBA Playoffs Game 2 injury report
The Minnesota Timberwolves were able to take Game 1 on the road against the San Antonio Spurs, and they’ll be looking to steal Game 2. The Timberwolves came into this series with several injuries to their key players, but they were able to overcome the adversity and close them out late in Game 1.
One of the injuries was to Ayo Dosunmu, who is dealing with a right calf injury that he suffered in the first round against the Denver Nuggets. He wasn’t able to play in Game 6 of that series, and he didn’t play in Game 1 against the Spurs.
He’s listed on the injury report before Game 2 with right calf maintenance, and it’s uncertain if he will return to the court.
Here is Dosunmu’s injury status.
Ayo Dosunmu’s injury status vs. Spurs
Dosunmu is listed as questionable against the Spurs, and it looks like it’ll be up in the air if he plays or not. With it being a calf injury, the best thing for the Timberwolves is to stay cautious with Dosunmu, because things like this can turn worse.
There’s no doubt that Dosunmu will be a key part for the Timberwolves when he gets back, and he showed it against the Nuggets when Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo went down in Game 4. He finished that game with 43 points and had some big plays in the fourth quarter.
Edwards is back for this series as he deals with a left knee bone bruise, but DiVincenzo is out with an Achilles injury, so Dosunmu will have to continue being the next man up for the Timberwolves.
With Dosunmu out for the past two games, other players have had to step up, such as Bones Hyland, Mike Conley, and Terrence Shannon Jr.
It’ll be interesting to see if Dosunmu will return for Game 2, or if he’ll need some more time to recover.
