The Delhi Capitals (DC) keep their playoff hopes alive with a five-wicket victory over the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Match 62 of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday, May 17.

Batting first, RR posted 193 runs on the board for the loss of eight wickets, thanks once again to their top order. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi gave them a quick start with a 21-ball 46. However, it was the partnership between captain Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel which helped them post a respectable total. The duo scored 51 and 53, respectively, with RR then losing quick wickets towards the end.

In reply, DC chased down the total in the last over thanks to Ashutosh Sharma’s heroics. The 2020 finalists got a great start from their openers, with both Abhishek Porel and KL Rahul scoring half-centuries. Skipper Axar Patel also chipped in with a crucial knock of 34 not out off just 18 balls. DC also had a handy contribution with the ball, with Mitchell Starc taking four wickets in the first innings.

As is the case with a host of IPL matches this season, DC vs RR also saw players from both camps reach milestones in their respective careers. Even both teams broke their previous records when it comes to scores in the powerplay.

Here are the most important stats and milestones from Match 62:
