Injury updated provided on AEW star Adam Cole amid his hiatus

Last seen on AEW television at the 2025 All In Texas PPV, fans remember Adam Cole appearing in front of the live crowd and relinquishing his TNT Championship. Cole sidelined himself from in-ring action due to an undisclosed injury.

He has been away from televised programming and wrestling for almost a year now. Recently speaking during a livestream on the Being The Elite YouTube channel, Matt and Nick Jackson revealed in detail about Cole’s injury recovery.

“We were just talking to him [Adam Cole] the other day. It’s step by step for him. He’s just trying to take it day by day, but he’s having improvements, which is good,” Nick Jackson revealed. “So, keep him in your thoughts and prayers. He’s, gosh the best person I think I’ve ever met in the wrestling business without exaggeration. Number one, he’s the best” Matt Jackson further added.

It is currently not known if Adam Cole will ever recover and make his in-ring return. One of the most promising and talented wrestlers, fans saw his career potentially come to an end at All In Texas in 2025.

While Cole got ruled himself out of the match at All In Texas, he was originally scheduled ot face Kyle Fletcher at the show and lose his title to him. A few months ago, while speaking to Soundsphere Magazine, Fletcher opened up about that moment and called it one of the worst days of his life.

“This is the first time I’ve actually really spoken about that day. It was one of the worst days of my whole life. When you have so much built-up anxiety, and you’ve put that pressure on yourself. You know, I’d been dieting for two, three months leading up to that show. Every single day, I’d been thinking about this moment, this match, all of it. And then the rug gets pulled five hours before, you can’t really put into words what that kind of feels like. I was just in this weird limbo,” Fletcher reflected on that day.

However, he later also found himself in a major negative light with the fans following his comments.
