Hurricanes’ Eric Tulsky reveals surgery timelines for Eric Robinson, Seth Jarvis

The Carolina Hurricanes are riding high after winning the Stanley Cup title for the 2025-26 NHL season. Carolina is now getting ready this offseason to get healthy and tweak the roster. Hurricanes general manager Eric Tulsky revealed surgery timelines for two of the club’s players.

“He just told the media that Seth Jarvis (shoulder) and Eric Robinson (knee) both have had surgery,” Hurricanes reporter Walt Ruff posted to X, formerly Twitter. “Jarvis will be out “probably 4-6 months”, and Eric Robinson approximately 6-8 weeks.”

The loss of Jarvis is tough. He was the team’s leading goal-scorer this past season. He had 32 regular season goals, as well as 66 points during the regular season.

Robinson meanwhile posted eight points in the Stanley Cup Playoffs for Carolina.

Hurricanes ready to defend their Stanley Cup title

Carolina had a fantastic run through the Stanley Cup Playoffs, under head coach Rod Brind’Amour. The Hurricanes swept the Ottawa Senators and Philadelphia Flyers. The team then lost just one game before winning the Eastern Conference Final over the Montreal Canadiens.

During the Stanley Cup Final, Carolina faced some adversity. The club trailed the Vegas Golden Knights 1-0 and then 2-1, before reeling off three consecutive victories.

Tulsky says the team is looking at players this offseason who might help the club get even better.

“There’s a very real chance that we end up with sort of an open spot in our lineup for a month or two for a young player to step in and get an opportunity to show what he can do,” Tulsky said.

One young player Carolina is looking at is Bradly Nadeau. Nadeau is one of the team’s top young prospects.

“He absolutely will be in the conversation if we need a call-up at the start of the year. I think it would be a good opportunity for him to get some runway,” Tulsky added.

Hurricanes fans are excited for the future of this team.
