How Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s post-credits scene sets up Avengers: Doomsday

One of the burning questions people have before seeing Spider-Man: Brand New Day is whether or not the fourth Tom Holland-led MCU movie has a post-credits scene.

After all, all of his previous three movies had some kind of mid- or post-credits scene (even if No Way Home’s was a trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness).

So, yes, Brand New Day has a post-credits scene. While it isn’t anything too crazy, it does have major implications for the next MUC movie.

What the Spider-Man: Brand New Day post-credits scene sets ups

The post-credits scene for Brand New Day shows the interface of Ned’s (Jacob Batalon) Spidey Tracker app. As its title implies, it tracks the hero’s movements throughout the city.

Remember, for most of Brand New Day, Ned doesn’t know that Peter Parker (Tom Holland) is Spider-Man. He remembers being saved by him, and he wants to thank him, so he develops the app. It isn’t until the last scene in the movie that he finally remembers Peter. Peter had to try and do their signature handshake from the first MCU Spider-Man trilogy to get Ned to remember him.

However, in the post-credits scene, Spidey isn’t in New York. The tracker eventually finds him in space before a title card reads, “Spider-Man will return.”

It doesn’t say when he will be back, though. Assuming this is Holland’s Spider-Man that the tracker is showing in the post-credits scene, that could mean he’s in space once again for Avengers: Doomsday or Secret Wars. Since he is part of the Avengers, it’d make sense that he is part of the action in Doomsday and/or Secret Wars.

Luckily, the release of Doomsday is only a few months away. Fans will get answers as soon as Dec. 18, 2026, when Doomsday comes out. Secret Wars will follow nearly a year later on Dec. 17, 2027.
