Has Karl-Anthony Towns silenced the haters? Chandler Parsons weighs in

Karl-Anthony Towns raised his game another level for the NBA Finals. The New York Knicks watched him expose the San Antonio Spurs with pouring 18 points inside in Game 1. KAT’s finals debut prompted a fierce take from Chandler Parsons.

Appearing on Run it Back on FanDuel TV, Parsons believes that Towns has shut the critics up now.

“KAT finally silences all his haters…the dude is hooping,” Parsons said.

He then dropped a blunt take about KAT’s value for the Eastern Conference champs.

“He’s a critical part of the Knicks winning a championship,” Parsons added.

Parsons acknowledges that Jalen Brunson is the integral reason behind the opening win, plus the Knicks’ success. A debate sparked that Brunson would get a statue in New York if he helps end the Knicks’ championship dry spell.

But still, KAT plays a pivotal role in this current run the Knicks are on. New York is bringing this astonishing winning streak over to Game 2 on Friday that ESPN’s Adam Schefter posted Friday.

“The last time the New York Knicks lost a game was April 23, the first night of the 2026 NFL Draft,” Schefter shared via the social media website X, formerly Twitter. “Since then, the Knicks have won a historic 12 straight games heading into tonight’s Game 2 of the NBA Finals in San Antonio.”

San Antonio will aim to find ways to neutralize Towns on the offensive end. He remains one of the few NBA bigs who can nail the 3-point basket while also attacking down low. New York can take a stunning 2-0 lead by winning Friday’s contest.
