Hansi Flick’s father dies hours before Barcelona vs Real Madrid as club issue statement
Hansi Flick’s father has passed away hours before his Barcelona side take on Real Madrid in El Clasico on Sunday evening.
Barca released a statement confirming the devastating news regarding their German boss and his family.
They wrote: “FC Barcelona and the entire blaugrana family wish to send all our love to Hansi Flick after the passing of his father.
“We share in your sorrow and our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.”
Flick is reported to have informed the Barcelona players and the board about the death of his father on Sunday morning, after he passed away in the early hours.
However, despite the horrible news, he is still expected to be on the touchline to manage Barca against Real Madrid.
