Giants’ Logan Webb receives crucial injury update on Friday

The San Francisco Giants are currently playing without ace Logan Webb, who is dealing with a knee injury. Webb is trending in the right direction, however. According to Susan Slusser of The San Francisco Chronicle, Webb is set to begin his injury rehab assignment on Friday night.

Webb, 29, is one of the best pitchers in all of MLB. However, the right-handed hurler pitched to a 5.06 ERA across eight outings before landing on the IL. The good news is that Webb has a proven track record and he is more than capable of getting back on track. The Giants know how good he can be when Webb is on top of his game.

Webb has also made at least 32 starts in each season since 2022. He’s been extremely durable. Injury absences have not been a common occurrence for Webb.

Although he has missed some time this year, Webb could seemingly return soon barring any setbacks. The Giants will continue to monitor and provide updates on Logan Webb’s injury status as they are made available.

San Francisco has endured a challenging campaign up to this point. The ball club is currently just 20-30 overall. The Giants are in fourth place in the competitive National League West division.

Could the Giants still bounce back? Yes, as it is only May. With that being said, the Giants will need to figure things out sooner rather than later.

San Francisco is set to begin a three-game series against the Chicago White Sox on Friday night at 10:15 PM EST.
