Friday horse racing tips

Goodwood

  • 1.57: Night In Vegas 4/5 (1pt)
  • 3.42: Venetia 5/2 (1pt)
  • 4.17: Haatem 11/4 (1pt)

Bath

  • 2.43: Supplicate 4/5 (1pt)
  • 3.53: Silver Wraith 13/8 (1pt)

Night In Vegas

All three runners of this Anniversary Conditions Stakes won last time out. Shadow King being the only one to have two runs and need to get in front on the second attempt of asking.

The two big favourites, Love Is and Night In Vegas have won on their one and only start.

Love Is had a very notable victory coming from the back of the pack to quickly reel in her rivals and scoot clear.

Night In Vegas was also very handy beating plenty of rivals and has a handful of entries into big races this summer with more expected.

Notably his win was only by one and a quarter lengths but the rest of the field were stretched out placing three, five, and eight lengths behind him, promising.

Venetia

Thought this horse would have had a win in 2025 but she was just denied at Chelmsford in a Class 2 novices fillies contest over 1m.

However, on first start over 1m2f she made all and kept on to win at Ascot and is likely to appreciate another step up in trip.

Haatem

Enfjaar placed second here at Glorious Goodwood by a neck in July 2024 and has only been seen five times since then, as a result he’s firmly staying right around 9/2.

Ice Max is liked here after his third place behind Lambourn and Bay City Roller, and is jostling to be favourite.

Haatem drifted like a barge on Thursday evening from 5/2 out to 4’s but has steadily become the favourite this morning.

Boiling Point placed six and a half lengths behind Haatem at Royal Ascot in 2024 when they were both running at 7f, they’ve both been upped since with glimmers of more to come at this distance.

Haatem is often right there at the finish, winning over 1m2f at Ascot last June and should be dangerous back at a course he won at as a two-year-old.

Supplicate

Madrisa got the job done late at Lingfield last time out over 1m2f which is ideal form ahead of odds-on favourite Supplicate who was an impressive winner at Lingfield too but at 1m.

But she should fare better stepped up in trip with her pedigree and both Rossa Ryan and trainer Roger Varian are in great form coming into this.

Additionally that impressive win was 170 days ago and she’s had ample time to improve further which is more than likely for this Cheveley Park-owned filly.

Silver Wraith

Can’t see anything other than a favourite win here too with Silver Wraith boasting course and distance wins in his last two outings, meanwhile the rest have better form over 5f or not at all.
