First look at AJ Brown in new No. 1 Patriots uniform

The New England Patriots have a new top wide receiver on the roster after trading for AJ Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles. With a new team, Brown is repping a new number, and fans finally got a first look at the star wideout in his uniform.

New England held a photoshoot and posted an image of the 28-year-old star on social media wearing his new No. 1 uniform for the Patriots. Brown is standing there decked out in the uniform while holding a football in his left hand.

After a busy offseason, the Patriots have made big changes to the wide receiver room. While AJ Brown will lead the way as the No. 1 target, quarterback Drake Maye will also have Romeo Doubs to throw to, who signed a four-year, $68 million contract with the club in the offseason. Kayshon Boutte and De’Mario Douglas should also rotate in as vital pass options throughout the 2026-27 campaign.

As for Brown, the seven-year veteran has surpassed the 1,000-yard mark in four consecutive seasons with the Eagles. Although that may be the case, he seemingly grew frustrated with the offensive scheme in Philadelphia and sought a trade away from the franchise. The Patriots acquired Brown after giving up a 2028 first-round draft pick and a 2027 fifth-round draft pick to Philly.

AJ Brown finished last season with 78 receptions for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns. The three-time Pro Bowler will hope to put up even bigger numbers in his first year with Maye and the Patriots. Brown is scheduled to make his debut with New England in Week 1 of the new season when the club takes on the Seattle Seahawks in a Super Bowl LX rematch.
