Fever star Caitlin Clark’s bonkers game-winner draws Pacers’ 4-word reaction

To say that Caitlin Clark hasn’t had the best of starts to the 2026 WNBA season would be a major understatement. But on Monday night, Clark showed the entire world that she still has it, as if she lost anything to begin with. Clark drilled a game-winner from deep three-point land with 1.2 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to give the Indiana Fever a 78-76 victory, moving them to 6-5 on the season.

Clark saw plenty of daylight on the inbounds pass, with Sophie Cunningham throwing a crosscourt pass right on the money. The Washington Mystics defense on that possession did leave a lot to be desired, but Clark still had everything to do. The Fever star, as she’s done for most of her career, delivered, and this could perhaps be the turning point of what has been a rough season thus far.

Their NBA counterpart, the Indiana Pacers, showed Clark some love after her display of heroics on Monday night.

“Caitlin Clark called game ,” the Pacers’ official account on X wrote.

Clark entered the night having shot 28 percent from the field over her past four games. This has been a brutal stretch for the Fever star, but her surface stats remain solid. After putting up 19 points on 7-16 shooting from the field (4-10 from deep) in the win over the Mystics, she is now averaging 18.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 7.9 assists per game this season.

Her good shooting night also raised her field goal percentage on the season to 38.3 percent. While her lack of shooting efficiency remains a concern, inching above 40 percent from the field should be good enough considering the volume of shots she takes from three-point range.

The Fever will now look to keep their winning ways going on Thursday as they face off against the Chicago Sky in their first meeting of the 2026 season.
