Ex-Chelsea star completes football as he wins five trophies in just 14 months
Former Chelsea defender Filipe Luis has completed Brazilian football in just 14 months as a manager.
Luis, who played for the Blues in 2014/2015, has won five trophies with Flamengo after becoming boss in September last year.

On Wednesday night, he lifted his latest trophy with the club to mark an incredible achievement on the touchline.
Flamengo won the Copa Libertadores last weekend and just days later, they have now secured the Brazilian Serie A title too.
A 1-0 win against Palmeiras saw them claim their first trophy of the week on Saturday night, before a victory with the same scoreline against Ceará got the job done domestically.
It is Flamengo’s ninth league title and Luis’s first as manager, with his side making some Brazilian history with their success.
They are only the fifth side ever to complete the Serie A and Copa Libertadores double.
And on top of those two pieces of silverware, Luis had also led Flamengo to two more trophies beforehand.
In what has been the club’s most successful season ever, they have won the Brazilian Super Cup and the Campeonato Carioca too.
It means ex-Chelsea star and Brazil international, Luis, has already completed football in his home country as a manager.
Speaking after winning the league, he said: “In a few years, they [the players] will realise what they have achieved.
“They are eternal!”

Luis completes football
Luis had never had a senior managerial role before taking the job at Flamengo in September 2024.
And in just 14 months, he’s won every trophy possible in Brazil.
His first title at the club was the Copa do Brasil, as his side beat Atlético Mineiro 4-1 on aggregate in the final.
Now, Luis has picked up another four in one campaign, first claiming glory in the Supercopa do Brasil in February.
In March, they won the Campeonato Carioca, downing Fluminense 2-1 on aggregate in that showpiece final.
And now in December, he has collected the Copa Libertadores and Brazilian Serie A trophies to complete the full set.

Filipe Luis' trophies as Flamengo manager
- Copa do Brasil (2024)
- Supercopa do Brasil (2025)
- Campeonato Carioca (2025)
- Copa Libertadores (2025)
- Brazilian Serie A (2025)
Not done yet…
Luis and Flamengo still have the chance to remarkably win a fifth title of their history-making campaign.
They will play Mexican side Cruz Azul on Wednesday, December 10 to try and book a place in the Intercontinental Cup semi-finals.
Egyptian team Pyramids then await if they make it through, with the final to be played against Paris Saint-Germain.
PSG won the Champions League last season and secured their place in the final of the FIFA competition.
Flamengo will hope to continue their success with a giant-killing should they book themselves a spot in the showpiece.
Former Premier League stars Jorginho, Danilo, Emerson Royal and Saul Niguez have all starred for Luis’ men this term.
