England vs Japan: Team news
The England squad has been hit with further withdrawals following Friday’s 1-1 draw with Uruguay.
Noni Madueke was forced off in the first half of the stalemate and has returned to Arsenal.
Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka have also dropped out of the squad and linked back up with the Gunners for ‘medical assessments’.
Manchester City pair Phil Foden and John Stones also miss Tuesday’s game due to injury, while Adam Wharton, Aaron Ramsdale, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Fikayo Tomori have returned to their respective club sides.
Tuchel has been left with a 27-man squad for Tuesday’s game as a result of the high number of withdrawals.
Jude Bellingham will not feature for England.
For Japan, former Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu was forced to depart the squad, but is the sole notable exclusion.
Japan came through their 1-0 win over Scotland relatively unscathed, and means manager Hajime Moriyasu has plenty of options for the clash at Wembley.

England vs Japan: What’s been said?
England boss Tuchel insists that the Uruguay experiment went well despite conceding a late equaliser.
“I was looking forward to that match, I tell you. I was looking forward to it because we had some good training sessions and the group was a lively group,” Tuchel said.
“I liked the group a lot. I was excited to coach them. I was very happy when I did it. It seemed like we got a win for it. But it was good. It was nice.
“It was nice to see everyone back and we need to make sure that they are ready now against Japan.”
