Eddie Hall confirms comeback fight date and location after statement 30-second KO on MMA debut

Eddie Hall has said he will return to fighting as soon as June this year in Manchester.

‘The Beast’ made his professional MMA debut last year, stopping 27-fight veteran Mariusz Pudzianowski in 30 seconds at KSW 105.

Having contested exhibition bouts against Hafthor Bjornsson and the Neffati brothers to kickstart his combat sports career, the former World’s Strongest Man has been actively looking for another fight ever since.

Hall confirmed to talkSPORT.com in August that he would lose 64lbs to fight Dillon Danis in MMA, after the latter had dispatched Warren Spencer at Misfits 22.

While Danis is now unlikely to be Hall’s immediate next opponent, it is still something we could see down the line.

“I’ve got a fight coming up on June 13 in Manchester that’ll be announced very, very soon,” Hall told BobbyLad at Darren Till‘s Gorilla Promotions 2 in Birmingham on Sunday.

Speaking to Louie The Reporter, the 38-year-old added: “I want to get in there, of course [as soon as possible].

“I’ve got a big fight coming up. It will be on Misfits…

“I’ve been told the Dillon Danis fight will happen before the end of the year, so let’s make it happen.”

While a boxing fight hasn’t entirely been ruled out, Hall’s next move is almost certain to come under MMA rules.

Hall admitted that he would like to get his hands on Darren Till in the future, with the Liverpudlian, arguably the biggest star on Misfits Boxing right now, also looking for big fights as he revealed on talkSPORT.

The announcement of Hall’s opponent for his return is expected in the coming days.

Danis’ win over Spencer was Misfits’ first-ever MMA fight, and the promotion has plans to keep including these kinds of matchups on their boxing cards.

MF Pro was also officially launched last week, with fighters such as Derek Chisora, Josh Kelly, Harlem Eubank and Viddal Riley now under one umbrella with broadcast partner DAZN.

Co-president of Misfits Boxing Kalle Sauerland, who moved his roster at agency Wasserman to MF Pro, said: “We are extremely excited to be rebranding the business and assuming control.

“The launch of MF Pro has been a huge success already and we will aggressively grow in the UK and other markets as well as expanding into further sports and areas under the MF umbrella.

“Misfits is already a household name in the sports and entertainment sector and with our new partners in place we have a structural and financial backing in place for the MF business to emerge as a super power in the industry.”

Sauerland is promoting Chisora’s return to the ring for his 50th pro fight against Deontay Wilder at the O2 Arena in London on April 4.
