Eagles trade 2 draft picks for Packers WR Dontayvion Wicks
The Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers have agreed to a trade weeks before the 2026 NFL Draft. The Packers are sending away a former weapon of Jordan Love, Dontayvion Wicks, to the Eagles for 2 draft picks. Wicks has seen tons of success in his young NFL career and could be a great addition for Jalen Hurts and the Eagles’ offense.
Adam Schefter was on the news first, per usual.
“ESPN sources: the Green Bay Packers are trading wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2027 sixth-round pick. Wicks will sign a one-year, $12.5 million extension with the Eagles, per his agent David Mulugheta.”
Wicks was entering his final year on his rookie contract, but will now have at least two years minimum in Philly.

Wicks has made some massive plays in his career. He’s scored 11 touchdowns in his career, catching 108 passes for 1,328 yards for a 12.3 yards per catch average. Wicks’ numbers decreased in 2025 compared to his first two seasons, but he did enough to help the Packers reach the playoffs.
The speedy receiver can be a great insurance plan for the Eagles if they do end up trading A.J. Brown at some point this offseason, or during the regular season ahead of the NFL Trade Deadline. Funny enough, it seems like Philly is doing exactly that, as they have signed other receivers recently as well: Elijah Moore and Hollywood Brown. The Eagles could very well be gearing up for a trade involving A.J. Brown, and it does not seem likely that they will be getting one back in a potential return package.
