Dream’s Angel Reese knows what Marina Mabrey deserves after 53-point outburst

Atlanta Dream star forward Angel Reese made a viral comment on social media following Marina Mabrey’s historic night in the Toronto Tempo’s win over the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday night.

Reese and Mabrey were briefly teammates on the Chicago Sky during the 2024 WNBA season. However, Chicago moved on from the latter as they sent her to the Connecticut Sun.

Mabrey was dominant on the court in Toronto’s clash against Los Angeles. In 32 minutes of action, she torched the nets with a stat line of 53 points, six rebounds and two assists. She shot 17-of-28 from the field, including 9-of-18 from beyond the arc, and 10-of-12 from the free-throw line.

Her efforts made league history as one of the biggest scoring nights ever. Reese reacted to the performance after the game, revealing she has a reward for Mabrey when the pair reconnect with one another.

“Yeah i guess Marina deserves a ride in the RR ,” Reese wrote.
