The Los Angeles Dodgers have now won three in a row. After a dominating performance by Justin Wrobleski against the Chicago Cubs, the Dodgers opened a three-game series with the Miami Marlins on Monday.

In the first game of the series on Monday, the Dodgers came back in the bottom of the ninth, capped by a Kyle Tucker two-run single. What made the moment even better was the reaction of Tucker after the hit, according to Sonja Chen of MLB.com.

Tucker came up with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning and hit a single back up the middle off of Tyler Phillips.

“His reaction to coming through, down to his team’s last out, was rather muted. He touched the first-base bag and paused, taking in the scene. Then his Dodgers teammates rushed over to congratulate him, and Freddie Freeman enveloped him in a hug,” Chen wrote.

The muted reaction fits Tucker’s personality, as he is known for being reserved overall. He also seemed not to have realized what had just happened on the field.

“It wasn’t quite loud yet until we actually ended up winning the game there and Sho scored,” Tucker said. “So I was like, ‘Did I get the score wrong?’ But afterwards I saw everyone running out and it got loud and everything, so I was like, ‘OK, sweet, this is sick.'”

As the team celebrated, Tucker cracked a smile, which may have surprised his manager, Dave Roberts.

“Did he smile?” Roberts asked the media after the game.

Tucker struggled ot start the season. He has slowly improved, not hitting .236 with a .320 on-base percentage. He also has three home runs and 15 RBIs.

“It was great. He needed it. He needed a win,” manager Dave Roberts said. “And he’s been grinding and trying to find some success and some good fortune. Big spot right there, walk-off at home. So that was great. To see everybody go out and greet him and celebrate him was fun to watch this game.”

The Dodgers are now 20-9 on the season. They return to the diamond on Tuesday night for game two against the Marlins.
