Dodgers make Miguel Rojas lineup move before Blue Jays game
The Los Angeles Dodgers are taking on the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday in the second contest of a three-game series. However, the club will have to play this one without Miguel Rojas in the lineup, as he was a late scratch for the matchup.
Reports indicate that Hyeseong Kim is stepping in at shortstop instead, according to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. Kim will bat eighth in the lineup while Rojas will sit out.
“Miguel Rojas got scratched from the Dodgers lineup,” reported Ardaya. “Hyeseong Kim is now in at shortstop, batting eighth.”
Rojas, who is 37 years old, was originally announced as the starting shortstop for Tuesday’s game just before 4:30 p.m. EST. At about 6:45 p.m. EST, the Dodgers announced an updated lineup change, revealing Miguel Rojas was no longer playing.
“Updated lineup,” posted the Dodgers.

The Dodgers announced the reason why they scratched Miguel Rojas from the lineup moments before the game against the Blue Jays. It’s said that Rojas was removed due to a family matter. Hopefully, it’s nothing too serious, and everything is okay with the Rojas family.
“Miguel Rojas was scratched from the lineup to tend to a family matter,” said the Dodgers.
Rojas stepped up big time for Los Angeles in Game 7 of the World Series to help defeat Toronto. He made a brilliant defensive play, while also hitting a game-tying solo shot in the bottom of the ninth inning to force extra innings.
In Monday’s contest that ended in a 14-2 win over the Blue Jays, Miguel Rojas stepped onto the mound for the ninth time in his career and pitched against Toronto. He’s been Mr. Everything when it’s time to play the Blue Jays lately.
