Dodgers’ Kyle Tucker still hating on his swing despite monster game vs. Padres
The Los Angeles Dodgers expected some big things from Kyle Tucker, when they signed him to a contract before the 2026 season. Tucker delivered on Saturday night, in a game against the San Diego Padres. The slugger homered and drove in four runs for Los Angeles in a 15-3 victory.
Tucker still sees room for improvement with his swing, despite his monster game.
“I didn’t love my swing tonight. The homer, I caught the ball at the right point of contact,” Tucker said postgame, per SportsNet LA.

Los Angeles exploded in the sixth inning of the game. In that frame, the Dodgers poured it on with nine runs. It was historic.
“The nine runs that scored in the sixth inning were the most by the Dodgers in a single inning in a game in San Diego since they scored 10 in the third inning on June 28, 1969,” MLB.com reported.
Tucker’s home run blast was his seventh of the season. He finished his night going 3-for-5 at the plate. The slugger also now has 44 RBIs on the campaign.
“I mean, there were some pitches I swung at earlier in the at-bat that I thought should’ve gotten the job done earlier, just didn’t put a great swing on it,” Tucker said. “I ended up getting a cutter out over the plate that I was able to do some damage on.”
Los Angeles looks every bit a champion once again this season. The Dodgers are looking to win their third consecutive World Series, and cement them as a dynasty. The Dodgers lead the National League West this year, with a 53-30 record.
The Dodgers play the Padres again on Sunday. Los Angeles has now won seven of their last 10 games.
